Where is the money Rahul Ji?

The fiscal deficit target set by the BJP of 3.3% of GDP does not seem to be tenable with GST and direct tax collections not expected to be up to the mark and even the disinvestment target not being met. In addition to this, populist spending during an election year seems to be the order of the day adding to further strain. In the midst of this financial mismatch in the budgeted expenditure and income, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has announced the ambitious minimum income guarantee scheme which he said would be implemented by the Congress government is it was voted to power. However, this announcement was made without thinking about the future course of action as there does not seem to be any money to support this scheme and this seems to be nothing but an election gimmick. Hence, we ask the question, Where is the money, Rahul Ji?
