Hyderabad | All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday refused to comment on the possibility of his forming a post-poll alliance with the Congress and TDP in Telangana by joining the Congress-led Praja Kutami (People’s Front).
Speaking to media on Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) statement that the TRS will form the govt in Telangana on our own, Owaisi said that the speculations which are being raised are baseless rather we should wait for the result.”

Earlier Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) spokesperson Bhanu Prasad said, “We don’t need any alliance, we will form the Government on our own. We are confident that we will win enough seats.” Meanwhile, the Telangana BJP chief K Laxman said, BJP will not support Congress or AIMIM, but other options are open raising possibility of an alliance with TRS.
Voting for the assembly election in the 119 seat Telangana took place on December 7. The Election Commission on Saturday announced that 73.20 percent polling was registered in the Telangana Assembly elections. Results of the assembly elections in Telangana will be declared on December 11 along with Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Rajasthan.
