India efficaciously flight-tested today BrahMos weapon the world’s fastest supersonic cruise missile. Hitting the chosen target with pin-point precision the weapon was tested at 8:42 AM today morning in Pokhran, Rajasthan.

The defence ministry, tweeted, “Formidable Supersonic Cruise Missile BrahMos was successfully flight tested at 8:42 AM today at Pokhran test range, Rajasthan. The precision strike weapon with Indian-made seeker flew in its designated trajectory and hit the target with pinpoint accuracy.”

More so, Nirmala Sitharaman, the Defence Minister congratulated the Defence Research and Development Organisation for the successful testing of the flight and stated it will be an additional boost for the security of the nation.

This flight testing comes on the close corners of another imperative benchmark that was made last November when BrahMos missile was test-fired for the very first time from the frontline Sukhoi-30 MKI combat jet of the Indian Air Force.
Further BrahMos has come out to be the favoured standard precision strike-weapon for the armed forces. The smooth supersonic cruise missile flies at almost thrice the speed of sound.
