Massive Fire At ONGC Surat, Three Back To Back Explosions Scare People

Surat| A fire broke out at the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) plant in Surat in Gujarat in the early hours today. There were several blasts in the gas plant one after the other. Many teams of firemen are on the spot. Efforts are on to extinguish the fire. According to the information being received, there is no news of any casualty at the moment.

Reportedly, there was a fire at ONGC plant in Hazira, Surat at around 3:30 am today. After the explosion, a large-scale plant caught fire, which could be seen from a distance. News agency ANI has released its video. As soon as the fire was reported, several teams of fire brigade reached the spot. Efforts are underway to douse the fire.

Eyewitnesses said that the explosions were so strong that their noise was heard up to 10 kilometers away. All terminals have been closed as a precaution. Surat Collector Dr. Dhawal Patel said that the fire broke out at around 3 am at the ONGC’s Hazira plant. The fire spread after three blasts one after the other. There was no loss of life or property. ONGC officials continue the activity to reduce the pressurized gas system.
