BAT attempt foiled in Poonch, 4 jawans injured 1 terrorist killed

Poonch: At least four army soldiers were injured yesterday night when army foiled a major Border Action Team (BAT) attack on Karmarah forward post in Gurpur sector of Poonch in which a terrorist was also killed.

Jammu based defence PRO, Lt Col Devender Anand told HW News that the body of the terrorist has been recovered by the army while the injured jawans have been shifted to the hospital for treatment.

Reports said that yesterday night army soldiers saw some suspicious movement close to their post 100m near Line of Control (LOC).

The soldiers warned the suspects in return to which BAT terrorists opened fire was retaliated. Further they target the post with One RPG fire.

Meanwhile, in the exchange of fire, four armymen sustained injuries and were rushed to 425 Fd Hospital Poonch.

Reports said that the all four injured were airlifted to Jammu for an advance treatment and are said to stable.

Four RPG rounds were also recovered by the army from the spot along with the dead body of terrorist.
