Kamal Haasan’s new party launch update: Actor’s visits Dr Abdul Kalam’s house, fishermen

Tamil veteran actor Kamal Haasan has finally launched his political party at Madurai on Tuesday. The actor turned politician who was very vocal about the political issues in the Tamil Nadu, has finally decided to announce the name and ideology of his new party.

Kamal has also visited the relatives of Late Former President Dr Abdul Kalam Azad’s house where he met the latter’s brother and other relatives in Rameshwaram.

“Greatness can come from the simplest of houses and this is one of them. I am touched,” says the veteran actor after visiting the Former President’s house and meeting his family members.

A slight change in the day’s schedule, where Kamal has reportedly cancelled his visit to Dr Kalam’s school as the administration of the school declined his visit.

The actor was also seen addressing the fishermen as well as the media at his public meeting at the Hotel Hyatt in Rameshwaram.

The actor now is on his way to Madurai to finally launch his new party. He will stop at a few places to address few meetings as per his schedule. Kamal also had plans for a state-wide tour in Tamil Nadu, which according to a source got postponed. Also, he will unfurl his party flag in the evening in Madurai. “The party flag will be hoisted in the evening in Madurai when the idea behind the flag will be detailed,” the actor told the reporters on Tuesday.

Soldier killed as Pak army violates ceasefire along LoC in Rajouri

Jammu| An Army soldier was killed when Pakistan violated the ceasefire by heavily shelling forward areas and posts along the Line of Control with mortar bombs in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district Thursday, officials said.

Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire in Keri belt of Sunderbani sector this morning, they said.

One soldier was was killed in Pakistani firing, they added.

Pakistani troops have violated the ceasefire over 110 times along the LoC since January.

CRPF jawan kills 3 colleagues in J-K

New Delhi| Three CRPF personnel were killed Wednesday after a colleague allegedly fired at them after an altercation at their camp in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

 

The alleged fratricide incident happened at around 10 pm when constable Ajit Kumar shot three of his colleagues from his service rifle at the 187th battalion camp of the force in the Battal Ballian area in Udhampur, they said.

 

The officials said while three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) men were killed in the firing, Kumar also shot himself and is critical in a hospital.

 

Kumar hails from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh and was rushed to a military hospital nearby, they said.

 

The deceased have been identified as head constables Pokarmal R of Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan, Yogendra Sharma of Delhi and Umed Singh of Rewari in Haryana.

 

The incident is said to be triggered after the jawans had an altercation, they said.

 

Senior CRPF and police officials have rushed to the spot, they added.
