Mumbai | After a night of incessant rainfall, Mumbai has once again submerged underwater. The rainfall continues through the day, amid a high alert.
A 24-hour alert has been issued.
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted intense rainfall today, adding to the inconvenience of the locals.
KS Hosalikar, Deputy Director General of Meteorology, India Met Department, Mumbai, tweeted, “With the development of low pressure area over Bay, this Saturday night and Sunday, Mumbai is very likely to get intense heavy rainfall.”
The consistent rainfall caused waterlogging and traffic congestion in many areas of the city.
Mumbai Police has given a list of places to avoid.

Along with heavy rainfall forecast by IMD today, there is a high tide of 4.90 meters at 1:44 PM.

They have warned the citizens to not leave houses unless absolutely necessary.
