“Where the party of Advani and Atal Ji has come to,” said Yashwant Sinha talking to the media present here. He said that the way government’s misuse of powers and its functioning is instilling fear in the minds of people. He even said that not only common people across the country but even MPs and workers of the party were scared of the leadership. However, he excluded himself and Shatrughan Sinha from the narrative.
Yashwant and Shatrughan Sinha are both known for their critic of Modi government. Both the senior leaders from Advani camp in BJP do not miss any chance to take a dig at the Modi government.

Yashwant Sinha said, “The government is misusing democratic institutions to suppress the opposing views.” Sinha added that agencies such as CBI, NIA, ED and Income tax department are being used to crack down on political opponents. “I would appeal the parliamentarians to raise the issue of four Supreme Court judges in the upcoming parliament session,” Yashwant Sinha said.
When asked why the leaders themselves did not raise such issues, Shatrughan Sinha said if they would have got the chance to put their opinions forwards they would not need to build this forum.
Yashwant Sinha highlighted that the forum will not be a Launchpad for any political party. He said the forum will majorly discuss the issues the country is facing and is not created to slam the policies of the current government. “This is a nationwide movement on the issues which are creating concerns for us and it is not bound by any particular political party,” he said.
Calling the Rashtra Manch a political action group, he said that the forum will take up issues like assured income to farmers, security, and dignity of women and protection of democratic institution among others.
