Mumbai Civic Body Wants Removal Of Irregularly Shaped Hoardings After Tragic Incident

Following a tragic incident in Ghatkopar where a 250-tonne hoarding fell, claiming 14 lives and injuring around 75, the Mumbai civic body has announced the immediate removal of irregularly shaped hoardings, particularly those larger than 40×40 feet, from the railway administration’s boundary. The Brihanmumbai Corporation cited concerns over weather conditions due to the city’s coastal proximity for not allowing such large hoardings. The rescue operation at the site is ongoing, with several individuals suspected to be trapped under the debris.
