Patanjali Ayurveda Cow Ghee Fails In Food Safety Department Test: Reports

District Designated Officer MN Joshi during a press conference said on October 27, 2021, a sample of Patanjali’s cow’s ghee was taken from Kharola & Sons shop in Ghansali, which was sent to the state laboratory for examination.

The sample of Patanjali Ayurveda Cow Ghee has failed in the Central Laboratory Test of the Food Safety Department. On receiving the report of failure of the sample of the cow’s ghee, the Food Safety Department will file a case against the company in the court of the Additional District Magistrate. At the same time, samples of open rice filled from a restaurant have also failed, according to a report by Amar Ujala.

District Designated Officer Joshi further said that during the Chardham Yatra, on May 14, 2022, a sample of open rice was sent from Bisht restaurant in Selupani and sent for laboratory examination.

In the laboratory test on 16 August, the rice sample has been found to be unsuccessful. Insecticide has been found in rice. Regarding which notice is being issued to the restaurant owner. If there is no satisfactory reply to the notice, a case will be lodged against the restaurant operator.
