As the Karnataka election is drawing closer the bout to form new allies and coalitions has started. The instability of the BJP government led to Congress storming to power in Karnataka in 2013.
The state BJP was left in shambles after the exit of powerhouse leader B S Yeddyurappa. Now that, Yeddyurappa has returned to the party, BJP is seeming to have found a ground to build a base upon.
BJP-the saffron party is now ruling in 19 states across India including Uttar Pradesh where the party swept to power. Though Gujarat was a tough fight, BJP managed to retain the state with 99 seats. Karnataka Elections will prove to be even harder litmus test.

Nipah Virus | Reason behind deaths in Kerala

The south Indian state of Kerala is in a state of panic after many cases of the killer Nipah virus were detected last week. The state and the central governments have taken comprehensive measures to contain the outbreak of the rare virus. Doctors say it is just another viral infection and there is nothing to panic, but from reactions on social media, people seem to be in a state of bewilderment. The deadly virus carried mainly by fruit bats has killed at least 11 people in Kerala, sparking a statewide health alert ! according to a news report, Three people had died from this deadly virus, but this was later revised to six, and now it has climbed up to 11.

Why should PM Modi take CM Modi’s words seriously ?

This was Narendra Modi, the then CM of gujurat who spoke about the hike in price of petrol and diesel in our country. The petrol price on sunday touched a record of Rs 76.24 per litre and diesel had climbed to its highest level of Rs 67.57. The hike in the prices comes after the oil PSUs passed on four weeks of continuous rise in the international oil prices to consumers. According to the state owned oil firms, petrol price increased by 33 paisa a litre and diesel by 26 paisa in the capital, which is the highest since the daily price revision came into force in mid june 2017. This is the seventh straight day of price increase. That means, the consumers will be directly affected. The cost will be afftected, as the price of vegetables fruits and cereals will go up. Also the price of farm fertilizers will further come down as the cost of diesel goes up. So it is high time that Prime Minister Modi take Chief Minister Modi’s words seriously.
