Congress questions Ravi Shankar Prasad having SC judgement copy in Judge Loya case when SC site in hacked

Tehseen Poonawalla along with the Congress party has raised the question about how Ravi Shankar Prasad received the copy of the judgment on Judge Loya’s death case since the Supreme Court website was hacked.

The Supreme Court website was hacked by Brazilian hackers earlier today. The website, supremecourtofindia.nic.in, displayed an image that resembled a ‘leaf’ and said ‘hackeado por HighTech Brazil HacTeam’.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala has questioned “How does the Law Min, Ravi Shankar Prasad have a copy of Supreme Court judgment in Judge Loya case when neither the public nor the press or advocates have got a copy yet? And the Supreme Court website is hacked”.

“So much for transparency & fairness!” he added.

One of the petitioners Tehseen Poonawala also questioned how Prasad got the copy even before him and said he will be filing a complaint against the law minister in the apex court.

Tehseen Poonawala in a series of tweet asked the Union law minister “How does the law minister @rsprasad have the judgement when it is NOT yet out !!! How is this even possible. I as the lead petitioner don’t have it how does Prasad Ji have it.”

He has the first right to the judgment of the petition, Tehseen Poonawala added, “I have not got a copy how does @rsprasad ji have it? I will be filing a complaint against him at the SC. If I am arrested so be it !.”

Countering the allegations Ravi Shankar Prasad advised the Congress President Rahul Gandhi not to use the court to fight political battles after the Supreme Court dismissed pleas to seek probe into Judge Loya’s death.

Prasad said, “It clearly means that the case was fought as a political battle against our party President Amit Shah”.

Earlier today the Supreme Court dismissed pleas seeking an independent probe into the death of special CBI judge B H Loya, ruling that the judge died of natural causes and the petitions were a serious attempt to scandalize and obstruct the course of justice.
