MUMBAI| The All India Professional Congress has sought resignation of Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Tuesday. The mail addressed to governor’s office has been written by Mathew Antony, the state secretary of AIPC.

The letter says that during the govt formation efforts country witnessed “unprecedented violations of the constitutional powers” of the governor. “Our constituent assembly had the privilege of having more than 390 different intellects which debated every voice of the country and need to protect those voices with value, rights, enshrined in the constitution to protect the idea of India,” the letter reads.

Slamming the governor for not resigning from the post voluntarily, the letter further mentioned that the party waited to see whether his” conscience to the nation allows him to do a strong reflection” on his actions.
