While all this time we have been paying taxes either in the form of direct taxes or indirect taxes, what is it that we are paying for? Does this tax money go for the development of the country or what else is it used for? Mr Sujit Nair, Managing Editor of HW News Network answers all these questions and many more in his this editorial video.

Does BJP need Prashant Kishor or Modi?
I’ve used the term Modi’s BJP purely because I very strongly believe that BJP will be the single largest Political party post-2019 Lok Sabha elections and will be possibly able to form the government – but with a different Prime Minister and Party President. I believe and have explained my logic in several of my earlier articles that BJP will fall short of the majority and will have to depend on the NDA to fill the gap. NDA allies will not accept the Modi-Amit Shah jodi as partners. So technically speaking, BJP without Modi may not need any strategist to reclaim power and for Modi’s BJP no amount of strategy will get them back to power. So primarily Modi needs Prashant Kishor’s services and not BJP.
So who is Prashant Kishor?
Prashant Kishor was a Public Health Expert by training and has worked for the United Nations. Getting into the business of Political Strategy was a career digression in 2012. Kishor came into the limelight after he got Modi reelected as the CM, for the state of Gujarat in 2012 for the second time in a row and then guided Modi’s BJP to a spectacular win in 2014 Lok Shabha elections. Later on, Kishor got disillusioned with Modi’s working and decided to go with the Indian National Congress. Kishor could achieve nothing spectacular in UP for Congress but got Congress an impressive victory in Punjab. Later got miffed with Congress and decided to join back BJP.
Can Prashant Kishor recreate the Magic for Modi?
The chances are – NO. Kishor has always been successful while advising parties with powerful leaders on the helm of the battle. He was successful for Gujarat BJP with Modi on the helm, Lok Shabha 2014, again with Modi as the leader, Congress in Punjab with Captain Amarinder Singh. But failed Congress in UP elections with (then) a weak Rahul Gandhi leading the contest. Popularity of Narendra Modi in is nowhere close to what it was in 2014, so by sheer statistics, Kishor’s ideas may not prove to be the winning mantra for a desperate Modi. BJP without Modi wouldn’t need it anyway.
