Headlines: From Nirmala Sitharaman to Kanhaiya Kumar, JNU Alumni condemn the attack

A number of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) alumni, including two senior cabinet ministers, spoke out against the horrific violence unleashed on campus Sunday night by masked assailants.
Both S Jaishankar, the external affairs minister, and Nirmala Sitharaman, the finance minister, said they condemned the violence “unequivocally”.
Former Nepal Prime Minister and JNU alumnus Baburam Bhattarai expressed heart-felt solidarity with his alma mater JNU. He called for saving this holy temple of learning!”
Former JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar said students would not bow down no matter how much the government tried to silence them.
