The bus was en route from Quetta to Taftan when the attack occurred. In a parallel incident on the same highway, a car came under gunfire, resulting in the deaths of two passengers and injuries to two others.

Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, condemned the attacks and pledged to ensure justice for the victims. He asserted that those responsible for the heinous acts would not be forgiven and assured that efforts were underway to track down the terrorists.

The attacks underscored the ongoing security challenges faced by the region, highlighting the need for continued vigilance and concerted efforts to maintain peace and stability.

Bugti pledged to track down the assailants, stating their objective was to disrupt Balochistan’s peace. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack, standing in solidarity with the victims’ families. He stressed that such violence cannot be tolerated.

While no banned group has claimed responsibility, Balochistan has seen an uptick in terror attacks recently. The Balochistan Liberation Army claimed three significant strikes in Mach, Gwadar, and Turbat, resulting in the deaths of 17 militants.

These incidents underscore the persistent security threats faced by the province.
