“Left Varsha Not Fight”: Another Emotional Appeal By Uddhav Thackeray

Uddhav Thackeray says ‘left Varsha bungalow, not fight’ in address to Sena workers.
New Delhi: In the midst of the continuing political turmoil in the state, Maharashtra’s chief minister Uddhav Thackeray met the party’s district chiefs and Taluka heads on Friday and made yet another passionate appeal to his party members. Uddhav assured his determination to quell the uprising by saying that although he had left Varsha bungalow, the state chief minister’s official residence, he had not abandoned his resolve to fight.

He also claimed that Rebel MLAs are trying to “break” the Shiv Sena.

Uddhav said he does not hold any grudge against the deserters joining the rebel camp of Eknath Shinde. “Why should I feel bad about those who left?” the chief minister added.

This is Uddhav’s second speech since the crisis started earlier this week; in his first, he claimed he had no wish to maintain his position as chief minister if his party members thought he was unfit. Additionally, he moved his family to Matoshree from Varsha, the mansion where he was residing on business.
