Monsoon Fury: Next Two Days Crucial As IMD Issues Orange Alert

This year’s monsoon has wreaked havoc on Northern India, as states in the region woke up to floodwaters rushing into homes and homes being washed away. The western disturbances and monsoon winds are acting together to create intense rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Haryana. Landslides and flash floods have resulted in approximately 22 deaths across these states. Given the flood alert in the National Capital, CM Arvind Kejriwal called for a meeting with all the ministers, mayors, and officers. According to news reports, the proceedings in the Delhi High Court were affected due to a courtroom leakage. The Yamuna River crossed the warning level on Monday afternoon. In Punjab, CM Bhagwat Mann stated in a release that he had spoken with Home Minister Amit Shah and explained that the situation is under control. The Patiala River in Punjab has reached the danger level, and the NDRF team is prepared while army camps are set up in several places in Punjab. Conditions in Himachal have deteriorated, as a portion of a bridge was washed away in the Solan region. Himachal Minister Jagat Singh Negi stated that 20 people have lost their lives, mainly due to road accidents and similar reasons. According to news reports, twenty people who were stranded in Manali were rescued on Monday.
