India knows how to give reply to the countries who tease: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh

Udupi: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that India has led the world on the issue of terrorism those countries who consider terrorism as their tool, also know that India can give a befitting reply.
โ€œIndia has led the world on the issue of terrorism. The countries who consider terrorism as their tool know well that India does not unnecessarily tease any country, and it knows how to give a befitting reply to those who tease India,โ€ said Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. His remarks came while addressing the Convocation ceremony of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Udupi, Karnataka.
He also compared the start-up culture before 2014 and said, โ€œEarlier there was no start-up ecosystem in the country, but in the last 7-8 years, the picture has changed. Before 2014, there were hardly a few hundred start-ups but today the number has crossed 70,000.โ€

The Defence Minister also cited that the world now listens to India in big forums.
โ€œI take pride in saying that Indiaโ€™s words are listened to carefully even in the big forums of the world today. Indiaโ€™s stature has increased in the world, and big countries pay attention to what India says on any issue,โ€ he added.
He also recalled that there was a point when India used to be number one in scientific technology.
โ€œThe concept of zero was given to the world by India. The concept of Quadratic equation was also given by India,โ€ he added.
The Defence Minister also called out โ€˜illiteracyโ€™ as the major reason for poverty and unemployment
โ€œWhen I talk about education, I mean both theoretical and practical. We should not only have knowledge but also wisdom,โ€ he added.

Apna Dal (S) has called for a meeting of national and state office bearers on February 28 in Lucknow.

 

Lucknow| Union Minister of State for Health and Apna Dal(S) leader Anupriya Patel has sharpened the attack on the top BJP leaders of the state government and the Centre. Patel has accused the BJP of neglecting the allies and their concerns. She has also announced the date for taking a final decision on the alliance. The party has called for a meeting of national and state office bearers on February 28 in Lucknow. The announcement will be made at the meeting whether the Apna Dal will continue its coalition with BJP or not.

The National President of Apna Dal (S), MLC Ashish Patel, said that despite being in the coalition, their concerns and opinions are not taken into consideration. He said that the a faction of state BJP does not want that Apna Dal (S) to be a part of the NDA alliance.

The Apna Dal has been a part of NDA alliance in Uttar Pradesh for the last four years. However, it has often expressed its displeasure over not getting the due importance in the alliance. The party leaders were not given any crucial positions on commissions and boards. Apart from this, the party had demanded to provide the benefits of reservation in outsourcing, contractual and private institutions to Dalit and backward, to stop recruitment from the roster system and adequate participation of the Dalits and backward caste to the police station. The party leadership says that the state BJP is not fulfilling any demand.
