This year’s monsoon has wreaked havoc on Northern India, as states in the region woke up to floodwaters rushing into homes and homes being washed away. Himachal Minister Jagat Singh Negi stated that 20 people have lost their lives, mainly due to road accidents and similar reasons. According to news reports, twenty people who were stranded in Manali were rescued on Monday. The IMD has issued orange alerts in Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh, and Punjab, and red alerts for Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, a flood-like situation continues in Assam, with water levels rising in the Brahmaputra River and its tributaries. The next two days will be crucial for Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar as the IMD has issued an orange alert.
