On Wednesday, a CBI team arrived at Bengal Police CID headquarters to take custody of suspended TMC leader Sheikh Shajahan. This was followed by a Calcutta High Court directive. The court ordered the West Bengal government to transfer Shajahan’s custody to CBI by 4:15 p.m. They also cited contempt for not complying with the earlier order. Shajahan faces accusations of instigating a mob attack on ED officials, a land grab, and sexual harassment.
