India Records Below-Average Rainfall In June: Weather Report

In June, India recorded below-average rainfall with an 11% deficit, the highest in five years, as reported by the India Meteorological Department. The country received 147.2 mm of rain, compared to the normal 165.3 mm. This shortfall occurred over 16 days, affecting northwest, central, and east/northeast regions, while south India saw a 14% surplus.
