Forced To Lick Toilet Seat, Kerala Boy Dies By Suicide

Tejal Verma

A 15-year-old boy died by suicide by jumping from the 26th floor of his apartment building in Thrippunithura, Ernakulam in Kerala, on January 15. The boy named Mihir was relentlessly bullied and ragged at school, which eventually led him to take his own life.

Mihirโ€™s mother, Rajna PM, revealed the truth on social media. She said, โ€œMihir was beaten, verbally abused, and forced to endure unimaginable humiliation even on his last day. He was forcibly taken to the washroom, made to lick a toilet seat, and had his head pushed into the toilet while it was flushed. These acts of cruelty broke him in ways we cannot fathom.โ€

Further, Mihirโ€™s Mother, Rajna, also stated, โ€œThrough conversations with his friends and schoolmates, and by reviewing social media messages, we uncovered the horrific reality of what he endured. Mihir was subjected to brutal ragging, bullying, and physical assault by a gang of students at school and on the school bus.โ€

She also found a few chat screenshots of some of the bullies who were torturing him, where alleged bullies celebrated his death.

Following the incident, she also stated, โ€œA shocking chat screenshot reveals the extent of their cruelty. They messaged โ€˜f***kg nig** he diedโ€™ and celebrated his death.โ€

Mihirโ€™s mother is seeking justice for her son. โ€œThose responsible for this barbaric act must face the full force of the law, and systemic changes must be made to ensure no other child suffers like Mihir did,โ€ she said.

The First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at Hill Palace Police Station in Thrippunithura.

Mihirโ€™s family has submitted a detailed petition to the Chief Ministerโ€™s Office and the Director General of Police (DGP), as well as the evidence they have gathered.
