Ban On RSS Participation For Government Employees Lifted

The Indian government has lifted a decades-old ban on government employees participating in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activities, effective July 9, 2024. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh criticized the move, stating, โ€œThe bureaucracy can now come in knickers too.โ€ BJPโ€™s Amit Malviya welcomed the decision, calling the original ban โ€œunconstitutionalโ€ and praising its removal.
