New Delhi | The number of Coronavirus infected people in the country has reached 19,63,239. More than 56 thousand new cases were found in 24 hours. This is the eighth consecutive day when more than 50 thousand cases have come out to be Coronavirus positive within 24 hours. From July 29, more than 50 thousand cases are being recorded in a single day in the country. However, it is a matter of relief that the number of patients recovering from the infection has crossed 3 lakh.
So far 13,27,200 people have recovered in the country. In 24 hours the recovery rate has reached 67% with an increase of 2%. Mortality has declined by 1%. On Tuesday, the Union Health Ministry had put the death rate at 2.10%, which has now risen to 2.09%.

The WHO standard is that there should be more than 140 tests per day for every 1 million population in each country. The good thing is that in India now more than 140 tests are being done daily for every 1 million population in 28 states.
