The unrest among the MLAs seems to be growing with each passing day as certain media reports suggest that Pilot, along with his set of MLAs might take off to Delhi or Haryana once again.
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot, expressing displeasure at the party high command on Tuesday said the party panel has failed to deliver on the promises that were made to him when he along with 18 legislators returned to the party after a month-long rebel.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Pilot, refusing to elaborate on his next move said “It has now been 10 months. I was given to understand that there would be swift action by the committee, but now half of the term is done, and those issues haven’t been resolved. It is unfortunate that so many of the party workers who worked and gave their all for getting us the mandate are not being heard,”
In July last year, Pilot and his supporters left Jaipur to camp at a secret location in Haryana, threatening the stability of the Ashok Gehlot government. Pilot was removed as Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president, and it was only when the Gandhis intervened and set up a committee under general secretary Ajay Maken that he returned to the fold. However, the dilemma for the central leadership now is to find a solution that is acceptable to both chief minister Gehlot and Sachin Pilot.
The unrest among the MLAs seems to be growing with each passing day as certain media reports suggest that Pilot, along with his set of MLAs might take off to Delhi or Haryana once again. They are also expected to meet interim President Sonia Gandhi, former President Rahul Gandhi and UP Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in July.

Meanwhile, CM Ashok Gehlot’s camp has become active since Pilot’s statement came out and has been in touch with all MLAs. In fact, Pilot and his camp also seem to have conveyed their disappointment at senior leaders for paying excessive attention to Punjab, another state where the party is experiencing internal conflict, and almost sidelining the Rajasthan unit and its problems.
Troubles seem to be unending in the Congress party as former Union Minister Jiten Prasada jumped over to the BJP today. MP Jyotiaraditya Scindia had also joined the BJP last year, highlighting the factionalism within the grand old party.
