New Delhi | Ministry of Eternal Affairs has issued a statement that Pakistan should review its decision of downgrading their relations so that “normal communication is preserved”.
The statement comes following Pakistan’s decision on Wednesday which said that they would downgrade the relations by holding bilateral trade and talks. They also sent back Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria in accordance with this announcement.
However, they said, the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor construction would be continued.

“The Government of India regrets the steps announced by Pakistan yesterday and would urge that country to review them so that normal channels of communications are preserved,” the statement by MEA said.
The Ministry of External Affairs has time and again maintained that the recent developments of Kashmir are completely an internal affair of the country. Pak had raised issues that India had decided to revoke Article 370 “unilaterally”, and it was “unconstitutional”.
India, in its statement, accused them of creating an “alarmist version” of Kashmir.
“The recent developments pertaining to Article 370 are entirely the internal affair of India. The Constitution of India was, is and will always be a sovereign matter. Seeking to interfere in that jurisdiction by invoking an alarmist vision of the region will never succeed,” said the statement.
They said that Pakistan exploited the lack of developmental opportunities to generate disaffections and “to justify its cross-border terrorism.”
