Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje files nomination for Assembly elections

The 65-years old Vasundhara Raje has been contesting from Jhalrapatan since 2003. Interestingly, she has won all the assembly elections since then.

 

Jaipur| Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje filed her nomination for the upcoming assembly elections on Saturday. Vasundhara Raje is contesting the election from her traditional constituency of Jhalrapatan. On October 28, she confirmed the news at a party meeting.

Tweeting about her nomination filing, Raje said, “Today, after visiting Radi’s Balaji Mandir, I am filing my nomination from the holy Jhalrapatan assembly constituency as a BJP candidate. The affection and enthusiasm of my brother-sisters have today pointed out that once again, the Lotus of development will bloom.”


The 65-years old Raje has been contesting from Jhalrapatan since 2003. Interestingly, she has won all the assembly elections since then. In 2013, she defeated Congress candidate Meenakshi Chandrawat with the victory margin of 60,896 votes.
