Shimla, Apr 28 (PTI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said the government was committed to work for the welfare of the poor, Dalits, women and backward sections of the society.
Addressing a public meeting at Bajaura today, he said, “The welfare of these people is always the priority of the state government. Several welfare schemes have been announced in the budget.”
“Congress leaders should see the change that has come in the state after our government took charge,” he said.
Sharpening his attack on the previous regime in the state, he said during Congress’ rule, the law and order situation had deteriorated to a deplorable level.
Meanwhile, he said a Mukhya Mantri Lok Bhawan would soon be constructed in all the assembly constituencies.
