One of India’s greatest music composers Ilaiyaraaja has found himself in a middle of a controversy, as he is been slammed for just praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his contribution to India in his book ‘Ambedkar & Modi’. He did not shield himself from an online backlash. The criticism in social media since Saturday against Ilayaraja could be summed up as ideological, which claims that Modi cannot be compared to Ambedkar as the former is committed to Hindutva while the latter is a reformist leader who dedicated his entire life to the upliftment of the oppressed people. Even many political leaders are reacting to it. Speaking with Times Now on the controversy, DMK MLA Udhayanidhi Stalin says, ‘CM Stalin has advised party cadre not to make any objectionable remarks against music maestro Ilaiyaraaja.’Listen to some more reactions as well!
