Akhilesh Yadav Claims That Their Phones Are being Tapped After Raids On Aides

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh yadav the biggest challenger of the BJP party alleged that the phones of the party members are being tapped. Ahead of the election the Sp Party chief made such allegations and said that โ€œthe Chief Minister listens to the recordings every eveningโ€.

Mr Yadav, the predecessor of Yogi Adityanath in the top post, launched a sharp attack on the BJP a day after the Income Tax department conducted a series of raids on his party leaders โ€” including his private secretary Jainendra Yadav, party leader and spokesperson Rajeev Rai, and another party leader Manoj Yadav.

The raids, he said, were an indication that the BJP was going to lose the election. The Chief Minister he dismissed as โ€œunupoyogiโ€ (unsuitable/useless) drawing on Prime Minister Narendra Modiโ€™s sobriquet โ€œUPyogiโ€ of yesterday.

Citing the raids, Mr Yadav said the BJP is working to a script handed down the Congress when they were the rulers.

He spoke on the same lines yesterday, saying such tactics of the BJP will increase as the elections get closer.

โ€œAbhi to Income Tax department aaya hai, Enforcement Directorate aayega, CBI aayega ( Right now, now the tax department has comeโ€ฆ the Enforcement Directorate will come, CBI will come) but the cycle (the Samajwadi Partyโ€™s poll symbol) will not stop,โ€ he had said.

โ€œRSS Doesnโ€™t Have Remote Control Over Modi Government,โ€ States Mohan Bhagwat

Ashmita Chhabria

New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat states that the RSS has no control over the Modi-led BJP Central Government. He also stated that said that while the main people are working in the government, they would continue to remain a part of the Sangh.

While addressing an event of ex-servicemen in Dharamshala Bhagwat was quoted saying, โ€œThey have different executives, different policies, different working methods. Thoughts and culture are of the Sangh and that is effective. The main people are working there (in the government), they belong to the Sangh and will remain so. There is only such relation and nothing like the media says โ€˜Direct Remote Controlโ€™, no such control,โ€ by news agency ANI.

About one thousand ex-servicemen attended the event in Dharamshala on Saturday evening and the RSS chief urged them to know more about Sangh.

โ€œGovernments were against us. There has always been opposition. The Sangh has been running for 96 years by overcoming all obstacles and since so many volunteers are getting ready so they will not keep quiet or sit idle. Wherever there is a need to work in society, they are always available. The work done by the swayamsevaks prove they do not just run Parliament, they take the people of society along, they are independent and autonomous.โ€

In another context, Bhagwat said the DNA of all Indians is the same. โ€œThe DNA of all the people of India from 40,000 years ago is the same as that of the people of today. The ancestors of all of us are one, because of those ancestors our country flourished, our culture continued,โ€ he said.
