Udaipur| Following the victory of the BJP in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has hinted at Ram Temple construction. In his first ever reaction after the elections, he reportedly said,” Ram ka Kaam karna hai aur ram ka kaam hokar rahega.” (The work of Ram has to be done and it will happen). His statement has come in the light of speculations that Modi government in its second term may act decisively on the Ram Temple construction issue.
Mohan Bhagwat was addressing a programme of the Sangh in Udaipur when he made the statement. He said that the work of Ram has to be monitored too. Bhagwat was attending the RSS programme which is being held for four days. About 300 volunteers from the Sangh are participating in this camp. RSS has earlier before the Lok Sabha elections have expressed displeasure over Modi government’s approach to the Ram temple issue.
Prior to that, RSS and VHP had demanded that the central government should bring in the ordinance in parliament and pave the way for the construction of the Ram temple. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that till the Supreme Court’s decision comes, no other option will be considered.
