Chincholi(Karnataka) | Election campaign and speeches seem to have no boundaries, as Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge asked whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand himself if Congress wins more than 40 seats.
Addressing a rally at Chincholi in Karnataka Kharge said,” Wherever he goes, Modi keeps saying that Congress will not win 40 seats. Do you believe that? If Congress gets more than 40 seats, will Modi hang himself at Delhi’s Vijay Chowk?”, as quoted by news agency ANI.
Kharge has responded to PM Modi’s comments at a recent election rally in Bihar where he had pointed out that the grand old party won’t even win 40 seats this time.
The Prime Minister has often referred in his campaign speeches to the Congress’s all-time low tally of 44 seats in 2014.
Earlier last week, Kharge had hit out at PM Modi over his “Bhrashtachaari No. 1” comment on Rajiv Gandhi and said,”He did not get sanskar at home as he had fled home at a young age. Where will he get it? People should have control over their tongue when speaking”.
