Kolkata| West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar has sent a report to the Ministry of Home Affairs on the state of law and order in the state. On Thursday, the convoy of BJP President JP Nadda was attacked in Diamond Harbor area of ​​Kolkata. Stones were pelted on his car. After this, Governor Dhankar alleged that the government machinery in the state has completely failed. According to TV reports, the Centre can take major action in this matter, the Bengal DG and the Chief Secretary have been summoned.

Apart from stone-pelting on BJP leaders, activists were also attacked with sticks. BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya was also present in the convoy. The glass of his car was also broken. After this incident, Governor Jagdeep Dhankar, while attacking the Mamata government, said that he had already suspected such an attack and had even written a letter to the CM.

‘Constitutional machinery fails in state’

After the attacks, Dhankar summoned the state DGP and the Chief Secretary. Dhankhar tweeted that, “CS @MamataOfficial & DGP @WBPolice called on me today at 6 PM. Unfortunately, neither came with any update on pending issues or regarding the attack on the convoy of BJP President JP Nadda. Their continued non-responsive stance signals the failure of constitutional machinery in the State.”

‘Shame on Mamta government’

After this Jagdeep Dhankar made several tweets one by one from his official Twitter account. He also tweeted a December 8 letter he had written to the state government and his chief secretary before the BJP president’s visit. Tagging the Mamta government, Jagdeep Dhankar said that as the constitutional head of the state, I feel ashamed of you (Mamata government). The incident that happened is due to not performing your duties properly.
