New Delhi | Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitaraman on Wednesday meet the family of 44 Rashtriya Rifle’s Aurangzeb who was abducted and killed by the terrorist in Kashmir’s Pulwama.

After meeting the family at his residence at Jammu & Kashmir’s Poonch, Sitaraman said Aurangzeb and his family stands out as an inspiration for the entire nation.
“I came to meet martyr’s family. I have spent some time here. One message I can take back from here is that here’s a family, here’s a martyr, who stands out as an inspiration for the entire nation,” she told media. Earlier this week Army Chief Bipin Rawat also met the family of Aurangzeb.
Riflemen Aurangzeb was abducted from Pulwama on June 14 by terrorists and later his bullet-ridden body was recovered. The family after his demise made an emotional appeal to the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir government to eliminate militancy from the state.
