Samajwadi Party leader on Friday tweeted in Hindi, “If presenting one’s naked body is called art and freedom, then why, on the other hand, if a girl wants to cover her body with hijab according to her culture, is it called religious oppression and discrimination?”

Referring to the Karnataka Hijab Controversy that spread across colleges in the state and had erupted massive protest in the past. The government issued an executive order prohibiting students of all religions from wearing religious clothing on campus.
