For the second consecutive day, India has recorded more than 8000 cases daily. On Sunday, India recorded its biggest single-day hike in Coronavirus cases with 8763 patients.
New Delhi| India moved up two numbers on the list of countries most affected by the Coronavirus pandemic on Sunday as the cases reached 1.9 Lakh. As per the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Famly Welfare, India now has 190535 cases of Coronavirus. Out of them, 93322 are active cases whereas 91819 have been cured/discharged or migrated. The death toll due to Coronavirus in India has reached 5394.
For the second consecutive day, India has recorded more than 8000 cases daily. On Sunday, India recorded its biggest single-day hike in COVID 19 cases with 8763 patients. In the month of May, 1,55,756 patients increased, 82,796 were cured and 4254 people died.

Maharashtra remains the worst affected state with 67655 cases. Among them, 36040 are active cases, 29329 have been cured whereas the death toll is at 2286. On Sunday, 2467 infected were found in Maharashtra, 89 lost their lives and 1248 patients recovered. The Uddhav government has decided to extend the lockdown till June 30. But it has also introduced “Mission Begin Again” offering some relaxations.

In Madhya Pradesh, 198 new patients were recorded and 7 died on Sunday. Of these, 55 were found in Indore, 45 in Bhopal, 12 in Anuppur, 10 each in Ujjain and Barwani, 8 in Sagar and 7 in Vidisha. So far, 8089 patients have been admitted in the state. The Shivraj government has extended the lockdown till June 15.
Tamil Nadu remains the second most affected state with the cases at 22333 followed by Delhi which has recorded 19844 cases of Coronavirus. Meanwhile, the state of Gujrat has recorded total of16779 cases. Out of which, 5822 are active cases and 9919 have recovered. The death toll is at 1038.
In Uttar Pradesh, 374 infected patients were found here on Sunday. A total of 8075 cases have been reported so far. 217 have died. Approval has been given to open religious places in the state from 8 June. On the other hand, on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra Police in Varanasi is appealing to the people not to bathe in the ghats.
We have around 34,000 active cases, and of these about 24,000 are asymptomatic and are in quarantine or isolation.
Approximately 9,500 patients are with moderate or severe symptoms.
About 1,200 are critical, out of which 200 are on ventilator.

On Sunday, 214 new patients appeared in Rajasthan. Among them, 54 were found in Jodhpur, 30 in Jaipur, 14 in Kota, 10 each in Pali and Nagaur, 15 in Jhalawar, 18 in Bharatpur, 7 in Jhunjhunu and 6 in Ajmer. 2 patients died in Jaipur. So far, 195 people have lost their lives in the state.
In Bihar, Corona report of 242 patients came positive on Sunday. The maximum number of 47 new patients was found in Begusarai. 34 patients were found in Bhagalpur, 17 in Madhubani, 13-13 in Jehanabad, Purnia and Supaul, 11-11 in Patna and Muzaffarnagar and 9 in Saran. The number of patients in the state rose to 3807, 23 people lost their lives.
