Bihar CM Nitish Kumar expressed his displeasure over UP Govt sending buses to bring back stranded students in Kota citing it was against the principle of the lockdown.
Kota| Uttar Pradesh government on Friday decided to send 300 buses to Kota to bring coaching students stuck in the city back to the state. There are 7500 students of UP who will be transported by buses to their homes. The decision was taken by the Rajasthan and UP government on Thursday. On Friday, 102 buses for Jhansi and 150 buses left from Agra. At night, the students left by buses. However, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed his displeasure over this. He said it was unfair. Sending buses to pick up students will be an injustice to the principle of the lockdown. Meanwhile, a student studying in Kota has been found infected in Bharatpur. All the students in the hostel in which he lived have been isolated.

Chief Secretary of Bihar Deepak Kumar wrote a letter to Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla in this regard and said that the Home Ministry should order the Rajasthan government to strictly follow the lockdown. Also, the DM of the Kota should be reprimanded for irresponsible activity and issuing a large number of passes for private vehicles at a time when 40 Coronavirus positive cases were found in the quota. The Chief Secretary said that any student who comes to Bihar from Rajasthan will be quarantined with their parents for 14 days.
There have been 6 new cases of transmission in Kota
Meanwhile, six new cases of infections were reported on Friday in Kota. A student has been found infected in Bharatpur. These students prepare for medical and engineering. He had reached Bharatpur on April 13. After the student’s report came positive, all the students of the hostel in which he lived in Kota have been isolated. Also, the student’s room has been sealed. The principal of Medical College of Kota Vijay Sardana said that the student’s contact history is being explored. So far 92 infected have been found in Kota.
Earlier, buses to pick up students were parked in six places in Kota, where there are several coaching centres. Coaching and administration helped students to get here. About 25 to 30 children were taken in a bus. They will first be taken to Jhansi and Agra. After this, the government will arrange to carry them forward.
