Delhi: Man Kills Friend Who Demanded “Unnatural Sex”

A twenty-year-old man killed his friend, claiming that he had been forced into having unnatural sex.DCP North Manoj Kumar Meena said on Monday, “On January 19, a PCR call was received at Kashmere Gate police station. The caller stated that a body was lying in an isolated place in DDA Park, Mori Gate, and his face was crushed. The police found that an unknown body was lying unconscious in an isolated place in DDA Park, Mori Gate, Delhi, with blood on his mouth and a cut mark above his eye and blood was scattered around the body.”

The crime scene was examined by both the North District crime team and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team after they were called to the scene.

“After spot inspection, body was shifted to the hospital, where he was declared ‘brought dead’ by the doctor. Thereafter, the body was shifted and preserved at Mortuary ‘Subzi Mandi’. Accordingly, a case u/s 302 IPC was registered at PS Kashmere Gate, and the investigation was taken up to trace the culprit,” DCP Meena added.

During the inquiry, the police could not uncover evidence despite examining over fifty CCTV cameras near Khoya Mandi and the Mori Gate of Kashmere Gate PS.

Inquiries with more than 100 people were made after local intelligence was used to identify the victim.

“The victim was identified as Pramod Kumar Shukla, a resident of Village Rudurpura, District Jalon, Uttar Pradesh. He was working at Khoya Mandi in the shop of Rakesh Tomar and was residing in Rain Basera, situated at Mori Gate near Khoya Mandi”, DCP Meena added.

The IMEI search report was examined after obtaining the victim’s mobile phone’s International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number.

After a thorough investigation, it was discovered that Rajesh, a resident of Ghosai Chausa, Madhepura, Bihar, owned one cellphone number that was occasionally utilised.

One witness came forward during the inquiry to report that the victim was last seen with Rajesh. Additionally, it was determined that Rajesh and the victim, Pramod Kumar Shukla, were roommates at Rain Basera, located close to Khoya Mandi at Mori Gate, Delhi.

It was also disclosed that on January 17, at DDA Park, Mori Gate, Delhi, a fight broke out between Rajesh and the victim, Pramod Kumar Shukla. Following that, attempts were made to locate Rajesh to confirm the information, and it was discovered that he fled the region on January 17 and travelled to an unidentified location.

Rajesh’s mobile number was discovered through technical surveillance.
Following a thorough examination of the CDR and the mobile number’s location, he was captured from Patna, Bihar, on January 26. He was then taken to the Kashmere Gate police station and questioned.

Rajesh Kumar, the accused, admitted during questioning that Pramod Kumar Shukla, the victim, was a friend and that he used to pressure him into having unnatural sex with him, forcing him to commit murder.

“On January 17, he, along with the victim, was drinking beer at an isolated place in DDA Park behind Khoya Mandi. The victim, Shukla, started pressuring him to have unnatural sex with him. No other person was present in DDA Park, said police, adding that when he denied having unnatural sex, a fight took place between him and Pramod Kumar Shukla, and he murdered Shukla”, the DCP said.

He killed him, then removed his keypad phone and ₹ 18,500 from his pocket. He sold the victim’s cell phone at the Old Delhi Railway Station for ₹ 400. Then, he took a train to Amritsar, Punjab, to avoid arrest. Using the money stolen from Shukla, he travelled to Amritsar, Punjab, and spent ₹ 10,000 on a mobile phone. Recovered from the mobile phone dealer are the identical sum and the Cash Memo slip associated with the device. Rajesh Kumar, the accused in the case, has been taken into custody.
