Will win more than 50 seats in UP first phase: BJP

Lucknow: Electronic Voting Machines being sealed after conclusion of first phase of UP Assembly elections, and BJP claims that they will win, the first phase of UP.

“There is a wave in favour of the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. People are voting in favour of the BJP government. The feedback and reports collected from ground clearly indicate that the BJP will easily win more than 50 seats of 58 in the first phase,” Uttar Pradesh BJP spokesperson Harish Chandra Srivastava said.

“The voting in Kairana today assures BJP’s victory. In the next phases covering Kairana to Kashi, west to east, this wave will get stronger. Under the leadership of Modi Ji & Yogi Ji, BJP will win more than 300 seats & return to power,” says Union Minister Anurag Thakur in Varanasi.

Polling Date For Manipur Changes, Will Vote On Feb 28

Imphal: The Election Commission has revised the polling dates for the Manipur assembly. Now the first phase will go to the poll on Feb 28 instead of 27, and the 2nd phase is on March 5 instead of 3.

The announcement was made by the Election Commission by releasing a press note.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh has filed his nomination papers from Heingang constituency in Imphal East district for the upcoming polls.

Manipur has 60 seats. The total number of electors as per the electoral roll is 20,56,901.

Earlier, the Election Commission had announced that the Manipur Assembly Elections 2022 will be held in two phases. The first phase of elections will be held on February 27 while the second phase was scheduled to take place on March 3. However, the result date for assembly elections in all five states is March 10.

The Election Commission, earlier last month, announced the poll schedule for Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Punjab. As per the schedule, UP Elections will be held in seven phases, while Manipur elections will be held in two phases. Uttarakhand, Punjab and Goa will have single-phase elections.
