Rs 967.46 CR Spent On Print Ads (2019-24): Anurag Thakur

As of December 12, 2023, the Indian government has spent Rs 967.46 crore on publicity campaigns in print media from 2019-20 to 2023-24, as disclosed by Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur in a Lok Sabha written reply. The Central Bureau of Communication follows the Print Media Advertisement Policy, 2020, for releasing awareness campaigns. Thakur also noted the increasing registration of periodicals, reaching 1,48,363 in 2023.
