On Friday, the anger spilled on the streets as people came out of the house to protest in large numbers and mob of hundreds strong tried to enter the President’s house.
According to the local media senior DIG Ajith Rohana has said police curfew would be imposed within the Western Province from midnight to 6 am Saturday.
The economic crisis induced by shortage of foreign exchange in Sri Lanka has led to severe shortages of fuel, medicines and essentials. The country is also facing power cuts and electricity outage for hours.
