Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed wins 2019 Nobel Peace Prize

Norway| On Friday Nobel Prize list was released where Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed won the Nobel Peace Prize award for his efforts in peacemaking with Eritrea.

Ethiopia and Eritrea’s longtime boundaries crises were resolved in 2018 after years of hostility. Both nations fought a border war from 1998 to 2000.

The prize worth nine million Swedish crowns or around $900,000, will be presented.

The prize will be presented in Oslo on 10th of December anniversary of the death of Swedish industrialist Alfred Nobel, who founded the awards in his 1895 will.
