Imran Khan Slammed For “Martyr Osama Bin Laden” Comment, Opposition Terms Him “Taliban Khan”

Pakistani leader Bilawal Bhutto said that statement of Imran Khan about Laden shows that his party is the biggest supporter of fundamentalists.

 

Islamabad| In a shocking development, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan called Talibani terrorist Osama Bin Laden as “martyr”. He made the statement while speaking in the Pakistani parliament. His comments led to outrage not only in Pakistan but also across the world.

Opposition MP in Pakistan Mustafa Nawaz called Imran Khan the biggest threat to the security of the country and even termed him ‘Taliban Khan’. Pakistani leader Bilawal Bhutto said that his statement shows that his party is the biggest supporter of fundamentalists.

Former Pakistani Union Minister Khwaja Asif said that Imran Khan probably forgot that it was because of Laden that terrorism spread in Pakistan.

Defending Imran Khan, Pak MinisterFawad Chaudhary said, “The Prime Minister’s tongue may have slipped.”

PML-N leader and former foreign minister Khwaja Asif said, “Laden was a terrorist and always will be.” Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chief of the Pakistan People’s Party or PPP, sought to remind that Imran has also relieved the killers of American journalist Daniel Pearl and helped the terrorists who attacked the Army Public School to escape.

Imran ‘Taliban Khan’

PPP spokesperson and senior MP Mustafa Nawaz said, “Imran Khan has clearly become a threat to national security after calling Laden a martyr. If Laden is a martyr, then what should the Prime Minister call our innocent soldiers and people who were killed by al-Qaeda? Imran is the only person who gave approval to the Taliban to open offices in the country.”
