Washington | In his latest internet gaffe, US President Donald Trump yesterday wrote a very confusing thing on Twitter and called ‘Moon’ a part of the planet ‘Mars’.
“For all of the money we are spending, NASA should NOT be talking about going to the Moon – We did that 50 years ago. They should be focused on the much bigger things we are doing, including Mars (of which the Moon is a part), Defense and Science!”, wrote President Trump on Twitter.

As predicted, this gained a lot of heat, with users quickly trolling for his comment. Some put elaborate diagrams of the planet and the satellite to show him the distance between the two.
I know reading isn’t really your thing so here are some pictures!
That red circley thing— That is Mars.
That smaller white circley thing— That is the Moon.

Thanks Trump, now everybody knows.
No wonder our Intelligence Agencies don’t want to tell you anything.
Well the cat’s out of the bag y’all, this is declassified.
Why do you think we call it BLOOD MOON? Because it’s RED.
You know what else is RED? MARS. So obvious. https://t.co/egYNe17Orp

Guaranteed: Any time Trump emits a sentence that contains Moon, Mars, science and NASA, it will be nonsense.

Trump will also announce tonight that he has gotten Mars to give back the moon to the US

However, NASA’s administrator Jim Bridenstine clarified Trump’s statements by offering an explanation.
“As @POTUS said, @NASA is using the Moon to send humans to Mars! Right now, @MarsCuriosity and @NASAInSight are on Mars and will soon be joined by the Mars 2020 rover and the Mars helicopter”, he wrote.

Again, Twitter lauded Bridenstine and called him a very good administrator.
10 bucks said Jim’s heart stopped a little when he saw that tweet. Nice save though. This is why you’re such a good administrator

I can only imagine how challenging your job is and what a difficult day today must have been… As a PR professional I take my hat off to you for the eloquent restatement of Mr. Trump’s tweet!

Meanwhile, The President himself has offered no explanation yet.
