Election 2019

Exit polls will prove false, SP-BSP to win 60 seats in Uttar Pradesh: Sanjay Singh

New Delhi | Terming the exits polls as completely false, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh today after meeting Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav said that the SP-BSP alliance will win 60 seats in Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking to media after meeting Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav, Sanjay Singh termed the meeting as just a courtesy call. He said the first priority of the opposition parties is to stop the Modi-Shah duo and communal forces from returning to power.

Rejecting the prediction by the Exit Polls after the 7 phase of polling, Sanjay Singh said,” I feel the gathbandhan will get more than 60 seats in UP. BJP will be wiped off across the country. Exit polls will prove to be completely false, like it had happened before. The opposition will form a strong govt at the centre.”

Most Exit polls have predicted that the SP-BSP alliance will be getting around 20-30 seats in Uttar Pradesh compared to the BJP’s 50-60 mark. Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party contested the 2019 Lok Sabha election together forming an alliance with Ajit Singh’s RLD. Samajwadi Party is contesting on 37 seats while Bahujan Samaj Party is contesting on 38 seats. The alliance has not placed its candidate on Rai Bareli and Amethi while RLD will be contesting from Baghpat, Mathura, and Muzaffarnagar.
