Amritsar | Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday warned Pakistan that if they don’t stop terrorism on their land then Indian won’t be left with any other option to just stop water to the neighboring country.
Addressing a press conference in Amritsar, Gadkari said,” India has already started Internal study that if Pakistan doesn’t stops terrorism, we won’t have any other option but to stop river water to Pakistan. We will divert that water to Haryana, Punjab & Rajasthan.”
The Union Minister further added that the basis of water treaty between India & Pakistan were peaceful relations and friendship which have completely vanished. So we are not bound to follow this treaty.

Relationship between India and Pakistan face a major setback after the terrorist attack on the Indian Army base camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s URI and later in 2019 when a 41 CRPF personnel were killed in a Jaish-e-Mohammed led suicide attack. India in response withdrew the ‘Most Favoured Nation’ title given to Pakistan affecting the export of good from Pakistan.
