Muzaffarnagar: Senior Shiv Sena leader and MP Sanjay Raut met farmer leader Rakesh Tikait on Thursday. Sanjay Raut reached Tikait’s house in Muzaffarnagar. Through a phone call they spoke with the Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Giving information about this, Sanjay Raut tweeted, “Meeting with farmer leader Shri Rakesh Tikait in Muzaffarnagar today, there was a long discussion on the serious problems and issues of the farmers of Uttar Pradesh and the politics of the country. In particular, the burning issues of Western UP were discussed. Shiv Sena is dedicated to give justice to the farmers.”
Earlier, on Wednesday, Rakesh Tikait had claimed that the politics of Uttar Pradesh is about to change and only after that three state ministers and some other BJP MLAs quit the party recently. Raut had said that Shiv Sena will contest on 50 seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Sanjay Raut had said during a conversation with reporters in Mumbai that, he wants to tell the people of Goa not to get greedy for money and Shiv Sena will oppose any such move of BJP in the coastal state. Commenting on the resignation of some ministers and MLAs of the Yogi government in UP, Sanjay Raut had said, “This is just the beginning and politics in Uttar Pradesh is about to change.”
Referring to the election scenario in Goa, Shiv Sena’s chief spokesperson had said, “Our fight is with BJP’s note (money force).” He said, “Shiv Sena is a party of the common people. We want to tell people not to fall in the greed of money.
Shiv Sena had severed its relationship with the BJP in 2019 during the Maharashtra Assembly elections due to no agreement with the BJP for the post of Chief Minister in Maharashtra. Since then Shiv Sena seems to be standing against BJP on every issue.
