“Uddhav Thackeray Will Be Held Responsible If…” Says Navneet Rana’s Husband Over Attack On Amravati Residence

Mumbai: Shiv Sena staged a massive protest outside residence of MP Navneet Rana. Navneet’s husband MLA Ravi Rana has alleged that their house in Amravati was also attacked. At the time of attack their children were indoors. He said Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray would be held responsible if anything happens.

This comes after the massive protests by Shiv Sainiks over the plans of the MP-MLA couple to chant the Hanuman Chalisa outside Uddhav Thackeray’s residence “Matoshree.”

On April 23 morning, Shiv Sena workers were protesting outside residence of Ranas in Mumbai. The Sena workers also threatened the Ranas of  consequences to be faced by them if they chanted Hanuman Chalisa outside Uddhav Thackeray’s residence.

Ranas had said that they would go to Matoshree at 9 am on Saturday. Navneet Rana said, “Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is at his post because of Hindutva but he has left his ideology now.”

On Friday morning, Ranas arrived Mumbai. Since then Shiv Sena Workers have gathered outside Matoshree, and at many places across Mumbai daring the Rana couple to venture near Matoshree.

As per the police, Ranas were residing at their Khar residence. DCP of  Zone 9 Manjunath Shenge served a notice to MP Navneet Rana and her husband MLA Ravi Rana. The notice was served to the couple to prevent a law-and-order issue. Police said that the couple will be held responsible if the law-and-order situation is disturbed.
