Body of ‘abducted’ youth recovered in Hajin outskirts: Police

Srinagar, April, 03: The dead body of the youth who was abducted by the militants last night was recovered by the police this afternoon from outskirts of Hajin area in Bandipora district.

The militants also left his three family members injured after attacking them with sharp-edged weapons and firing indiscriminately inside the house.

A police officer told that the body of the youth Muntazir Ahmad son of Farooq Ahmad Parrey was found near a bund in outskirts of Hajin area.

The body was taken into the custody for conducting legal medico formalities including postmortem.

Pertinently at about 10:10 PM last night, 4 suspected militants who are believed to be affiliated with LeT, barged into the house of Farooq Ah Parrey and without caring about the life and dignity of the inmates, fired indiscriminately inside the house and later attacked three family members with knife inflicting them grievous injuries.

A case in this regard has been registered by the police.

Local militant Saleem Parray played a major role in the killing of Hajin youth.

Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed that a local militant Mohammad Saleem Parray played a “major role” in the killing of abducted youth Naseer Ahmad Sheikh.

“During the investigation, it has come to notice that local militant Mohammad Saleem Parrey has played a major role in the killing of the said innocent civilian,” said a police spokesman, in a statement.

He said that five foreign LeT militants — Abu Muslim, Hubaib, Khalid, Abu Hamza and Haider — are also involved in the killing.

The bullet-writ body of Sheikh, abducted by suspected militants from the house of his in-laws in Hajin last night, was recovered today from Shahgund area.
